Brent Sorbet travels around the world managing portable courts from installation to maintenance to disassembly for high-pressure situations such as NBA All-Star games, NBA Global games, USA Basketball, G League, Summer League, Basketball Africa League games and more.
NBA Global Games:
Abu Dhabi 2023
At the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Minnesota Timberwolves played a pair of games vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
Basketball Africa League 2023:
Championship in Kigali, Rwanda
The BAL playoffs were held at the BK Arena from May 21-27, 2023, in Kigali; Egypt's Al Ahly team prevailed over Senegal's AS Douanes to win the championship (Brent pictured third from right).
NBA All-Stars
Multiple courts are involved at every NBA All-Star event; Brent has managed the courts at many All-Star games, from Toronto to New York City to Salt Lake City and more.
Basketball Africa League
Portable courts are used for Basketball Africa League games in Dakar, Senegal; Cairo, Egypt; Pretoria, South Africa; and Kigali, Rwanda. Brent manages courts at all of these arenas; here he is pictured at the Dakar Arena in Diamniadio, Senegal.
USA Basketball
USA Basketball events preparing for the Olympics are held around the world; this court was installed for games in Abu Dhabi in August 2023.
Games in China
Brent has traveled to China many times for NBA Global games in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, as well as PAC-12 games in Shanghai. Here Brent is pictured with an installation crew at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Shenzhen.
